- DESIGN - Van Geffen has a fascination for the body, erotics and fetishism. She is on a quest to create erotic items that are transformable and contain humour and colour. The model wears a pink handcrafted face mask with zipper on the front and a red wig. Photography by Casey Horsfield.
The Wearable Body
- CONCEPT & DESIGN - The Wearable Body / Unashamedly vulnerable in someone else's body. Bodies are cloned and transformed into separate, wearable fashion products. The work raised from a research towards nudity in modern Western art and resulted in what van Geffen calls 'artificial vulnerability'. Tattoos and piercings of the cloned bodies are recreated in the fashion. The items are made of painted skin latex and applied in different layers on the bodies of models. All items are handcrafted.
