The Wearable Body
- CONCEPT & DESIGN - Part of The Wearable body / Unashamedly vulnerable in someone else's body. The nude body as a costume design; The Wearable Body. Bodies are cloned and transformed into separate, wearable products to be worn by other people. The work raised from a research towards nudity in art and modern Dutch society and resulted in what van Geffen calls ‘artificial’ vulnerability. The fashion item in this film is made of painted skin latex and applied in different layers on the body of a model. This video was presented in an exhibition at Splendor Amsterdam in 2017. Video by Michiel Ubels with sound by Luke Deane.
